Infant/Toddler Child Care Aide: $16.75/hr

Job Title: Infant/Toddler Childcare Aide

Reports To: Director

Supervises: Assists Assigned Students

Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Full-time 

Start Date: Wednesday, October 25, 2023 

Compensation: $16.75/hour

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time-Off (10 days), Paid Holidays

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 35 - 40 hours/wk

Training Schedule: Wednesday, October 25 - Friday, October 27, 7a - 2p

Summary
The Curiosity First Early Education Program is expanding our program model from home-based to Center-based this Fall. We are hiring an experienced Childcare Aide to provide a high-quality early childhood educational experience for young children and their families. Educators at Curiosity First Early Education Program use their experience and knowledge of child development to ensure that each child’s cognitive, physical, emotional, language, and cultural needs are met. The education staff at this program provide a well-rounded education for each child by developing partnerships with parents and achieving curriculum standards.

Qualification:

Child Development Associate (CDA) + 2 years of experience

Or,

High School Diploma or GED + 5 years or more years of experience

2 years of experience working with infants and toddlers in an Early Childhood Education setting.

Summary

Curiosity First Early Education Program is a licensed in-home childcare and preschool program. We are hiring experienced Childcare Aides to provide a high-quality early childhood educational experience for young children (ages 0 - 12) and their families. Educators at Curiosity First Early Education Program use their experience and knowledge of child development to ensure that each child’s cognitive, physical, emotional, language, and cultural needs are met. We provide a well-rounded education for each child by developing partnerships with parents and achieving curriculum standards. Substitutes submit their availability to the Program Director and they are called to fill-in for regular staff on an as needed basis.

Qualification:

·        Minimum Education

Associates Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field


Or,

Child Development Associate (CDA)


Or, 

High School Diploma or GED + 2 years experience with infants and toddlers

 

·        Minimum Experience

2+ years working with children ages 0 – 12 years old

Job Function and Responsibilities 

1.      Provide classroom support, management, and supervision of all assigned children.

2.      Implement all program health and safety standards.

3.      Provide age-appropriate adult-child interactions.

4.      Provide age-appropriate guidance and direction.  

5.      Greet parents, inform parents of their child's day, address parent concerns, and communicate parental concerns to Program Director.  

6.      Complete assigned classroom daily sheets.

7.      Assist children with diapering and toileting in an age-appropriate manner observing all health and safety standards.  

8.      Ensure classroom setup is conducive to learning.

9.      Ensure classroom materials are clean, unbroken, and age-appropriate.

10.   Attend all mandatory meetings, workshops, and conferences (may occur on evenings and weekends).

11.   Participate in parent engagement events as assigned (may occur on evenings and weekends).

12.   Ensure each child is signed-in and out by parent daily.

13.   Prepare and serve meals to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

14.   Work as a member of a team.

15.   Other duties as assigned.
